“Dan wall mounted a flat screen tv for me. He was easy to make an appointment with, arrived on time and did a great, professional job. I recommend HandyGreen and will be calling them again.”
“Dan is honest, easy to work with and very good at what he does. He did what he promised to do at a reasonable price. He had to do the work in three different appointments and always showed up on time. The second appointment was rescheduled to a different date and he called 24h ahead to work out the date and the time.”

First, I’ll show up on time. If you need me to provide a mount, I can do so. Otherwise, I’m happy to use any mount you provide (assuming it’s suitable for the size, weight, and placement of the TV).
Once I arrive, I’ll consult with you on the TV placement so I mount it in the best position for your situation.
Then, I’ll securely mount the TV to the wall, adjust it so it sits perfectly level, and help you hook up any components you need.
If you’d like me to hide the wires, I have multiple options to do so.
I’ll keep dust to a minimum and immediately vacuum any dust I may create in the process. And if you’d like me to remove my shoes before entering your home, I’m happy to do so.

What kind of TV wall mount do you need?
Flat Mount – This is the mount to get if you want your TV to be close to the wall, and you don’t need the TV to tilt down for a better viewing angle. It’s also the cheapest, since it is the simplest.
Tilt Mount – This is a popular style of mount. A title mount is similar to a flat mount, but it has the ability to tilt down for a better viewing angle, which is nice when your TV will be mounted high (like above a fireplace).
Articulating Mounts – These mounts are more expensive, but allow you to pull the TV away from the wall without removing the TV from the mount. These make it easier to hook up HDMI cables and other accessories to your TV. Articulating mounts are also useful for mounting TVs in corners or in front of a nook that isn’t wide enough for the TV.
Pull-Down Mounts – These mounts are designed to be installed above a fireplace and can be pulled down for a better viewing experience. They are the most expensive mounts, but for some situations they are a game changer. These are great if you have a high mantel. There are even electric options that automatically raise and lower.
Most mounts are universal and can fit any new TV. However, there are some things you will need to consider.
- The size and weight of your TV. In most cases, weight isn’t an issue, especially if you purchased a newer TV. But it’s good to know if you have a heavier TV or if you are using a pull-down or articulating mount.
- What features are you looking for? Do you need to have easy access to the back of the TV to hook up cables? If so, an articulating mount is the way to go. Do you want to to be as close to the wall as possible? A flat mount will be perfect.
- Where will the tv be mounted? If you want your TV to be mounted in a corner, you’ll need an articulating mount. If you have a high fireplace mantel and want a better viewing angle, a mantel mount is an expensive, but nice upgrade.
- What surface will the TV be mounted to? Most mounts come with an assortment of wall fasteners, so you can attach them to anything from drywall to cement. For mounting to faux stone, I provide custom fasteners.
- Cost. Tilt-mounts and flat-mounts are the least expensive, while articulating mounts tend to be more expensive. You can find a decent tilt mount on Amazon for $35, while a high quality articulating mount can cost $200 or more. Mantel mounts are the most expensive and cost anywhere from $200 to $600.

What’s the best place to buy a TV wall mount?
I can provide you with the right TV wall mount for you project for a competitive price. However, you can also purchase your own if you’d like. Best Buy sells high quality TV mounts. So does Home Depot and Costco.
If you’d like to save some money, you can buy your mount from Amazon. The hardware isn’t quite as good and requires more precision with the installation, but it’s the best price you’ll find.
How much does it cost to mount a TV in Reno, NV?
The cost to mount your TV will depend on the size of the TV, the location you would like it mounted, the mounting surface, and if you need additional services, such as in-wall wiring or mounting a soundbar.
To have your TV mounted by Best Buy’s Geek Squad, they charge $250 per TV, plus more for add-ons.
However, you can hire me to save money on your install, plus get better service. I can also handle more complicated installs.
The benefits of mounting your TV to the wall
- Improved viewing angle. Since you can mount your TV as high or low as you want, you can mount it at the optimum viewing angle (which is lower than most people think).
- Safety. A TV is a big, heavy, and awkward item that can easily be tipped over by pets or kids, causing damage to the TV and injuring people. A TV that is mounted properly cannot be knocked off the wall – even during an earthquake.
- It saves a ton of space. This is especially true if you have a really big TV. You don’t need to waste your living room space on huge entertainment centers anymore. All you need to purchase is a wall mount, a TV, and if you want great sound, a quality sound bar.
- Adjustability. In some cases, you may want to change the viewing angle of the TV. By using an articulating wall mount, you can easily swivel your TV back and forth so you can watch it from anywhere in the room.
- Security. A properly mounted TV is more difficult to steal in the event of a burglary.
- It looks better. There’s just something classy about a well mounted TV.
